About Us

Who we are and what do we do?

Avishi Biosciences Private Limited was established in 2016 with the aim of developing novel bioavailable livestock nutrition products. We studied the animal feed and nutrients market in India and elsewhere and came to the conclusion that bioavailability of a product was rarely given any consideration. Bioavailability is one of the most important aspects of animal nutrition and we formulated products at Avishi Bio keeping it at the centre. Bioavailability is the proportion of the nutrient that is digested, absorbed & metabolized through normal pathways. Further, bioavailable minerals in Avishi products are fortified with herbal extracts, proteins, vitamins etc; according to our proprietary formulae. Inorganic minerals in the animal feed are destroyed during the digestion process due to interaction with other components of the feed, thus rendering the mineral unavailable to the body of host.

Inorganic mineral salts have unreliable solubility and poor bio-availability of mineral. Unabsorbed minerals are excreted by the animal, which poses a significant environmental hazard. The key to reducing mineral excretion is to optimize mineral intake by improving its availability. So, the need for the precise and reliable resource was felt, which resulted in biotechnology innovation called, AVISHI! Inorganic minerals form a bond with multiple organic acids to form organic mineral complexes (AVISHI). It facilitates the protection of nutrients till the time they are released to the digestive system of the host.

Organic salts in complexed form are capable of supplying nutrients in absorbable condition at lower dosages. By this technology, non-bioavailable minerals (metals) are transformed into bioavailable organo-metallic complexes which are cell-permissible biomolecules. The ability of a mineral to be utilized by the host is primarily a matter of size. These cell-permissible biomolecules are not only absorbed, but also are assimilated (bioavailable) by the body cells very efficiently. This is biotechnology at its best!
